Alison Sweeney, the Days of our Lives Star and host for The Biggest Loser, talked about keeping in shape.

Sweeney, 37, remarks that getting enough sleep is underrated in losing weight.

“I would say that sleep is the biggest surprising tip!” she told Hollywood Life. “Obviously nothing replaces eating right and working out, but sleep is such an importance part of the equation. And I think it is the most underestimated.”

“The important thing that we talk about on the show is that nutrition and fitness go hand-in-hand in helping people get healthy,” she said, referring to The Biggest Loser. “Sleep is just as important.”

According to We Love Soaps, Sweeney left Days of our Lives after spending 21 years on the show. She’s set to return as a director; she also directed an episode of General Hospital.
