Ali Zidan, or Ali Zeidan, was kidnapped on Oct. 10 by “a group believed to be revolutionaries,” said Libya’s interim government on Facebook.
The government called for calm in the face of the situation.
Zidae is Libya’s prime minister.
Multiple news agencies confirmed the situation.
Zaid Benjamin of Radio Sawa said that Zidan was arrested for so-called “cooperating with enemies” and that a statement is expected by Libya’s Revolution Room.
