Alfredito Olivas, a Mexican singer, was shot and wounded during a concert in Mexico, according to local reports. He did not die in the incident.

He was shot in the city center in Hidalgo del Parral, Chihuahua. There’s an apparent video of the incident (warning: contains disturbing footage at the end. It’s also at the bottom of this post.)

Olivas was shot while he was performing his song, “Así es Esto.” He was hit at least three times, local officials say.

La Republica has more, per a translation:

This Saturday, terrible news shocked Mexicans. A beloved singer is between life and death. It is the artist Alfredo Olivas, better known as “Alfredito,” who was shot during his presentation at an entertainment center in the city of Hidalgo del Parral, Chihuahua.

The incident occurred while he played the song “This is It.” All went well until the singer ... was shot three out of eight times ... according to the first investigations of the Attorney General of the State of Chihuahua .

Hearing the shots, some of the attendees dove to the floor, while others could not control their fears and started chaos while trying to leave the premises. According to witnesses, some people fainted.

Sources of the Attorney General of the State said he was admitted to a local hospital and in the course of the morning, and he was intervened on several occasions.

The attack took place around 1:30 am, when the musician played “That’s it,” a few minutes from the conclusion of the song, he was attacked.

In social networks, the video was circulated ... of the shots being fired.
