Alex Rodriguez will be suspended on Monday likely through the end of the 2014 season, according to what sources have told ESPN.

Rodriguez, who is on the New York Yankees roster, has been under threat of being barred for life from major league baseball after his potential use of performance enhancing drugs came to light in the Biogenesis scandal.

Rodriguez was told by the MLB to not appeal any bans or else he would be banned for life.
