An AirTran flight heading from New Orleans to Milwaukee made an emergency landing late Saturday afternoon due to smoke in the aircraft, the Associated Press reported.
AirTran flight 619 was carrying 65 people, including five crew members. According to a news release from the airline, the crew observed a small amount of smoke in the cabin and experienced an unusual odor.
“Out of an abundance of caution, the captain declared an emergency and diverted to Memphis,” the news release stated.
No-one was hurt. The passengers continued their trip to Milwaukee on another flight, arriving just after midnight.
The airline is investigating the incident.
