Allen tried to escape to the hospital’s parking lot after seeing the police, but he was arrested and charged with one count of cruelty to children.
The child is OK, police said, and placed under the mother’s care by child services.
“I think it just goes to show that to parent and raise a child, we have to be highly vigilant at all times, and have to put the children first and our behavior second, for their well being,” Parrish said.
