Los Angeles police arrested a man Tuesday night in connection with a brutal attack on an octogenarian grandmother in Koreatown.

All Mi Reum Song, 86, remembers is a man walking beside her and then hitting her before she woke up, her granddaughter, Yujin Ko, told Fox 11.

The woman was hit in the forehead, fell back and struck the pavement, lacerating the back of her head. The woman’s face showed extensive scarring and swelling.

“Her eyes are black and blue, her forehead is black and blue. She got a lot of stitches on her scalp, so she’s bandaged up,'' Ko told Fox 11.

Police arrested 41-year-old Richard Colomo. He was held on $105,000 bail as of Tuesday evening.

Colomo was seen on security footage near the scene of the attack on the same afternoon.

The assault took place near a local police station at about 2 p.m. on Saturday. Police initially released security camera footage of a man running through nearby streets at the time of the attack. It is unclear if Colomo is that man.

The victim viewed the tape and told police that the man in the video was not the one who struck her.

Bystanders rushed to help the woman, according to her granddaughter.

“Luckily, a lot of people were there to help her, and so she said people were rushing to her, and I don’t know if that’s the time that guy got away,'‘ Ko said. ”The paramedics came, the ambulance came, and the police came.’’

Colomo is a homeless man, ABC News reported citing Detective Hee Bae Cho. He is facing a charge of felony battery. Detectives are still working to pin down a motive for the attack.

Song is expected to recover, according to police.
