Everything went right from the bounce for the Collingwood Magpies FC in the opening quarter against St Kilda in the Toyota 2010 AFL Grand Final.

Pies’ Dane Swan made the first clearance. Darren Jolly capitalised with the first goal of the game. It took just 24 seconds.

After remarkable goals to Adam Didak and Dale “Daisy” Thomas the Magpies were in complete control.

A late goal to St Kilda’s captain Nick Riewoldt gave them some confidence while they’d been having a good five minutes. Another to Adam Schnider and the Saints went into first quarter huddle six points down.
