Adam Pickup: Dead Body Found in Search, Believed to be Missing Manchester Teen

A dead body has been found in the search for Adam Pickup, a missing 17-year-old in Stockport in Manchester. and police believe the body is Pickup,

Police have arrested two men in the case.

Pickup, a student at Aquinas College in Stockport, vanished after going out in the city center on Saturday. Newly released CCTV footage showed him walking with an unidentified couple along Oxford Street, the last time he was seen.

The man and the woman are both white, with dark hair and dark clothing. The man was wearing glasses and a blue scarf.

Sky News reported that Manchester police found a dead body on Monday.

Police were searching a canal for the teen, reported the Daily Mirror. An underwater dive team was looking in the canal. Also, more than 60 family members and friends were searching the area.

Chris, his dad, said: 

“We’re absolutely devastated. His mum is at home distraught. It’s brilliant so many people have turned up and I can’t thank them enough. It shows what a popular lad he is. He’s liked by everyone and disliked by no one. We just want to know where he is.”

Adam is described as white, 6'2", and slim with brown hair.
