An “active shooter” situation was reported at Arkansas State University on Thursday, the school said on its Twitter feed.
UPDATE at 4 p.m. ET: The suspect was arrested and his truck is being searched.

There have been no reports of any injuries, it added.
“The individual with a weapon has been surrounded by police. No shots have been fired, no reported injuries,” it said.
WREG-TV reported that the gunman was “surrounded by police” and no one was hurt.
The university said no shots were fired.

The person was reportedly spotted at the student union.
People were told to evacuate the west side of the building, WREG said.
