Aaron Hernandez’s uncle was reportedly killed in a moped crash in Connecticut.
CBS Boston reported that Robert Valentine, 49, crashed his moped in Bristol, Conn.
Police responders said that they found him suffering from a life-threatening head wound. He was later pronounced dead at the scene.
Police determined that he struck a curb and was thrown onto a driveway, hitting another curb.
He was not wearing a helmet, officials said.
Valentine is the brother of Terri Hernandez, the mother of Aaron Hernandez, according to the Sun Chronicle.
Hernandez, a former tight end with the New England Patriots, was recently charged with murder in the shooting death of associate Odin Lloyd.
