The Following is a Narrative. On September 16, while I was walking down the street, I saw a female street vendor in her thirties pushing a cart full of household products. I remembered I wanted to buy some rubber hair ties for my daughter.

When I was going through the hair ties, she took out a 100-yuan bill and studied it carefully against the light. Then, she took out a portable money detector to check the bill. I used to work as a cashier and was good at identifying authenticity through tactile examination. I said, “Let me take a look.” She handed me the bill. I touched it and noticed the color of the numbers did not change. Then I told her that it was a fake even though it looked genuine.

She said, “A little while ago, a man bought something from me and he gave me the 100-yuan bill. I accepted it. He then said to wait because he had the change and asked for the bill back. But his change was not enough. Thus he gave me back the bill. By now I felt something was wrong and began to examine the bill.” I told her she had landed in his trap. The first bill he gave her was real. But the second one was a fake. Dodging such a trick is very difficult.

I sympathized with her and asked her how much she earned daily. She said, “Because I got a counterfeit bill today, it will probably take me five days to make up for it.” In order to help her out, I said, “I will trade you the counterfeit 100 for a real 50 and I can use the fake one for playing mahjong.” She kindly denied my request and told me she was a Falun Gong practitioner cultivating according to the principles of “Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance.” She didn’t want to gain at another’s expense. Since it was a fake, she would not let it continue harming others. She asked for the fake bill back from me and took out a lighter to ignite it.

At that moment, I had only the deepest respect. Before, I never looked street vendors in the eye and considered them to be humble people fighting for a little profit. Now, I would be eclipsed by her even if I were richly bejeweled and elegantly dressed. This respect came from the bottom of my heart and I decided to have a chat with her. She told me that Falun Gong was totally different from what the TV and newspapers propagated. Practitioners of Falun Gong (Falun Dafa) strive to be good people by following the principles of “Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance.” It is very popular and many people cultivated in Dafa because it is very good. Out of envy, jealousy and resentment, Jiang Zemin (the former president of China) launched the persecution against Falun Gong with the excuse that it was “undermining the party’s cohesion.” Throughout the eight years of this persecution, Falun Gong not only continued to endure, but has also spread quickly to over 80 countries and received 4,000 awards across the world. China is the only country to ban Falun Gong.

As for Falun Gong, I did not know much about it except what the TV and newspapers said. I once saw some posted messages reading “Falun Dafa is good. Falun Dafa is righteous.” I told the woman, “Our neighborhood committee has described Falun Dafa practitioners as anti-revolutionists and I almost believed them.” She said they only tell the truth about the persecution of Falun Gong. As practitioners, they are not interested in seizing political power from anybody. In China more than 3,000 Falun Gong practitioners had been tortured to death. More than 100,000 have been placed in forced labor camps, reformatories, brain-washing centers and mental hospitals.

The most shocking thing to learn was that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has harvested organs from tens of thousands of live Dafa practitioners to seek exorbitant profits. The CCP tried to destroy the evidence by burning the corpses. These atrocities were exposed by the wife of one of the doctors involved in the crimes. It was later confirmed by a Canadian independent investigation team. The team described it as “an evil that has never been seen on this planet before.”

I was shocked to learn about what she was saying about and I felt uneasy for quite a while. I knew countless people have been murdered during the various political movements the CCP carried out. But I had no idea such evil activities happened while the CCP talked enthusiastically about a “harmonious society.”

She told me that the heavens were going to eliminate the CCP soon. A 270 million-year-old stone engraved with “Chinese Communist Party Collapses” was discovered in Pingtang County in the province of Guizhou. According to the Bible, each member of the CCP has a mark of the beast on their forehead. If one does not erase the mark in time, he/she will be eliminated along with the rest. I accepted her advice and decided resolutely to withdraw from the evil party. The day this happens, it will be very unfortunate for anyone who still has even a little conscience to still consider him/herself a member of such a cruel, conscienceless party.
