97-year-old rescued: A 97-year-old Ukrainian woman was rescued after she was left hanging 35 feet above ground after she slipped cleaning her apartment.
Angela Artyomova clung to her air conditioning unit for around 30 minutes before she was saved, reported the Daily Mail.
She also got her foot wedged into a bracket that held the air conditioning unit.
The Orange publication reported that the woman made calls for help to alert people walking below. However, neighbors had no way of rescuing her so the fire department was called.
Artyomova was still hanging when firefighters took her to safety via a ladder. They realized that the situation was urgent and had no time to blow up an air cushion for her.
She was taken to the hospital and is reportedly suffering from shock.
