Hug & Groom Rescued Horses

The Free Rein Foundation is offering an opportunity for visitors to meet and hug rescued horses in their Huntington Beach pasture. There will be 8 horses at the event and all are rescue and therapy horses. There will be a limited number of people in each group so everyone can interact with horses safely. Festival of the Butterflies

The 4th annual Festival of Butterflies will be hosted in San Juan Capistrano at the Los Rios Park. The festival features a kid’s parade, live performances, and a butterfly headpiece contest. Participants for the activities can register at the information booth. Vendors will be available on-site for hand-crafted food and beverages. 31791 Los Rios Street, San Juan Capistrano. Falun Dafa Meditation

Join a free meditation exercise workshop on the beach. Falun Dafa, also known as Falun Gong, is an advanced Buddhist self-cultivation practice based on the principles of truthfulness, compassion, and tolerance. Surf City Pickleball Tournament

The Surf City Pickleball Society is hosting its annual tournament this weekend at Murdy Park. Friday will be featuring men’s doubles matches. Saturday will be mixed doubles. Irvine is bringing back the Sizzlin’ Summer Concert Series, providing free, family-friendly music shows to all community members at Mike Ward Community Park. Birch Summer Series: Raiders of the Lost Ark

Santa Ana’s Birch Summer Series takes place every Friday from Aug. 5–26 at Birch Park. The movie series will showcase a classic family film at dusk.
