Eight people are trapped on a rollercoaster about 100 feet in the air at the Frontier City theme park in Oklahoma City, June 29.
“Crews are assessing how to safely remove them,” the Oklahoma City Fire Department said on Wednesday. It earlier said the people are “stuck on a rollercoaster.”

Photos from local media outlets show officials trying to rescue people from the ride, which was identified as the Silver Bullet rollercoaster.
According to the Rollercoaster Database, the Silver Bullet, opened in 1986, has a height of 80 feet and reaches a speed of about 47 mph.
