Israel: Jerusalem Municipality to teach taxi drivers English 

The city of Jerusalem, in cooperation with representatives of taxi drivers in the city, are set to begin providing 60 hours of  English lessons to drivers to help them improve customer service to tourists.

France: French less educated than other Europeans

The French are less well educated than many of their European neighbours, according to a new study.

Just 72.5 percent of French adults aged 25 to 64 have completed high school, the study by France’s national statistics body Insee found, compared to an average of 74.2 percent across the European Union. ...(Read more)

Hawaii: 16th-century Korean paintings found in Honolulu

The Honolulu Museum of Art has discovered two paintings from late 16th-century Korea in its collection, including one that has been called an “earth-shattering” find.

UAE: No change in gold allowance to India

The new Customs Declaration Form asks passengers have to specifically declare, prohibited goods and dutiable items, including gold bullion and gold jewellery.
