$600,000 a month lease: A Beverly Hills mansion offers extravagant luxury and history.

The most expensive lease to hit the California market is a mediterranean-style mansion in Beverly Hills. For $600,000 a month you get not only extravagant luxury but a rich history as well.
Beverly House, built in the 1920’s by banker Milton Getz, is the former home of actress Marion Davis, and publishing magnate William Randolph Hearst, according to the Los Angels Times.
The property is being marketed by brokerage firm Hilton and Hyland. According to their listing the Beverly House is most famous for its use in the movies “The Godfather” and “The Bodyguard.”
The home, located on 3.7 acres of manicured gardens and lawns, is accessed by the city’s longest private driveway. “The 50-foot entry hall looks out onto a series of gardens, fountains and a pool,” according to the Times.
The are seventeen bedrooms and twenty-nine bathrooms. The opulent two story library, with paneled walls and built in bookshelves, has a fireplace and windows designed to keep it quiet enough for a church mouse.
There is also a theater, a billiards room, and a living room with twenty-two foot ceilings. For $600,000 a month or $115,000,000 purchase price you get more the 50,000 square feet of living space, and can wander the rooms where Jacqueline and John F. Kennedy honeymooned.
