Leading world automobile manufacturers unveiled their new models for 2011 and 2012, now on display at the 53rd Annual International Auto Show in San Francisco, till November 28.

This year the automotive industry is showing off vehicles that combine innovative technologies (including driver’s assistance) and exhilarating designs that suggest an unprecedented driving experience.

More hybrids and alternative fuel cars seem to have been on display this year targeting prospective environment-cautious buyers. Among those vehicles that stand out the most at the Expo is Nissan Leaf—a zero-emission electric vehicle that has no tailpipe at all.

And among many others the hyped up 2011 Volt by General Motors which as advertised will take you on a ride with no gasoline and will produce no emissions for the most driving. But a gas powered generator will kick in if your battery runs out.
