5 die in rollover: Five people died after their van rolled over following a Border Patrol chase in southern Arizona.

They were killed on Saturday night when their van crashed east of Tuscon on Interstate 10 and Arizona 83, an official told the Arizona Daily Star.

The van was carrying 22 people and was being chased by the Border Patrol, the paper reported.

The five were all declared dead at the scene of the crash and the rest were taken to Tuscon medical facilities via ambulance or by helicopter. Their injuries are not known

Officials did not give a description of the vehicle or any other significant details related to the crash.

The crash comes nearly a month after another fatal wreck in southern Texas involving purported undocumented immigrants.

In that crash, six people were killed and nine others were injured after their truck slammed into a security barrier at Navy Air Station Kingsville near Corpus Christie. The crash occurred after the truck blew by a police officer, prompting a chase.
