YORBA LINDA, Calif.—Police arrested a driver who they say crashed into several patrol cars, resulting in four Orange County Sheriff’s Department deputies being sent to the hospital, in a multi-car crash in Yorba Linda.

The crash was reported around 12:30 p.m. Monday near the intersection of Imperial Highway and Casa Loma Avenue, Orange County Sheriff’s Department spokeswoman Jaime Blashaw told City News Service.

The driver of the vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed south on Imperial and crashed into several patrol cars, one of which struck and injured the deputies, Blashaw said.

The deputies were taken to a hospital with minor to moderate injuries, according to Blashaw.

Police arrested the driver at the scene.

A suspect who the deputies had arrested earlier also sustained minor injuries in the collision and was taken to a hospital.
