4 Dead in LA Wrong-Way Crash: Police

At least four people were killed and others were injured in a wrong-way crash on the 210 Freeway in Los Angeles on Sunday morning, officials said.

The crash, in Lake View Terrace, took place at 2 a.m. local time near Wheatland Avenue, the California Highway Patrol said on Twitter.
The CHP said that three died at the scene of the crash, ABC7 reported. A fourth person was pronounced dead at the hospital.

It’s not clear if alcohol or drugs were involved in the cause of the crash, officials said.

The wrong-way driver was among the deceased.

All eastbound lanes were closed amid the investigation, but they were reopened before 7:45 a.m., according to the CHP, NBC Los Angeles reported.

Other details about the crash were not revealed.

The identities of the victims were not disclosed.
