When the House Judiciary Committee and the Oversight and Accountability Committee investigate President Joe Biden, they will do so with the aid of 37 Democratic lawmakers.

These lawmakers include several Congress members known for political radicalism, including Rep. Alexandria Occasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.), Rep. Cori Bush (D.-Penn.), and Greg Casar (D.-Texas).

Although some of the committee’s Democratic members haven’t changed since last year, at least one important change has occurred. Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Ca.) also played a role in the impeachment of former president Donald Trump and the Jan. 6 investigation.

The Judiciary Committee is one of the most important committees in Congress.

These Democrats will have to work with Republican committee members to investigate several issues involving Biden.

As previously reported, Republicans plan to investigate Biden for mishandling of classified documents, grift suggested by emails on his son Hunter Biden’s laptop, financial dealings with China, the suppression on Twitter of the laptop story, and human trafficking.

According to Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.), the ranking member of the Committee on Oversight and Accountability, the new Democrat members will help find the truth.

“I’m very excited to welcome these extraordinary new members of our Committee, whose remarkable experiences and gifts will soon be known to the whole country,” he said. “Now they join the Democrats on the Oversight and Accountability Committee—the ‘Truth Squad’—to conduct thorough and fact-based oversight to ensure an effective, efficient, and accountable American government that delivers for the American people.”

Doctors recently diagnosed Raskin with cancer, as previously reported. If his sickness makes him unable to perform his duties, Occasio-Cortez will replace him.

The Democrats will face an uphill battle, however. Republicans outnumber them in the Judiciary Committee 25 to 18. In the Oversight Committee, Democrats are outnumbered 26 to 21.

Democrats still have to pick their members for a Republican-run subcommittee looking into the “weaponization” of the federal government.
