A 36-year-old Florida man allegedly beat and strangled his grandparents over the weekend, leading to his arrest.
Police say Scott Horn violently attacked his grandparents around 2:45 a.m. on Sunday at their home on 20th Street.
When police arrived, Horn fled. The grandparents were rushed to the hospital; Horn’s grandmother suffered the worst injuries, with six broken ribs and a broken sternum, deputies told WESH.
The grandfather’s injuries haven’t been disclosed as of yet.
Horn was later apprehended.
Before the arrest, Indian River County Sheriff Deryl Loar said: “His actions this morning show that he is a dangerous individual. He deserves to be behind bars for this heinous act and we need your help to get him there.”
