At least three people were shot at a funeral home in Tampa, Florida, according to reports on Friday evening.

The Tampa Police Department is currently investigating a shooting at the Harmon Funeral Home, which took place on Friday, reported Fox13. Police have not yet identified a victim, but the injuries are reportedly non-life-threatening.

BNO News reported that the shooting took place at around 6:30 p.m. ET when a wake was underway for 19-year-old Sha-Mhya Hydiah, who was killed in a car crash last month.

Tampa Police said that an argument took place inside the funeral home and then moved outside to the parking lot. The argument was reportedly over the roles different people played in the crash that left Hydiah dead in December. Police said she died from being distracted while texting-and-driving. Her 2-year-old was ejected from the car.

During the funeral argument, someone pulled out a gun and opened fire, hitting three adults. The three were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment.

“As you can imagine, it’s probably the worst case scenario for a family that’s suffered such a horrendous loss, especially right at the holidays. And as we know, there was a child involved in that crash, as well. For differences to elevate to the point that firearms are brought into play obviously there’s no excuse for it,” Tampa Police Lieutenant Mike Stout told Fox13.

According to Bay News 9, police are still trying to figure out who is the suspect in the case. They’re also trying to determine a motive in the shooting.
