Three Olympic medals belonging to a U.S. women’s volleyball team member were stolen from a home in Laguna Hills, California, authorities announced on Nov. 10.

The medals were being temporarily stored in a safe in the home, which was stolen on Oct. 29, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.

They include a gold medal from the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, a silver from the 2012 London Olympics, and a bronze from the 2016 games in Brazil.

The owner’s name was not released. No suspect description was provided, and the robbery is still under investigation.

It’s the second time this year that a medal belonging to a member of the women’s volleyball team has been stolen in Orange County.

In May, volleyball Olympian Jordyn Poulter reported her 2020 gold medal was stolen from her car in a parking garage in Anaheim, authorities said.

A suspect was later arrested, and the medal was found by Anaheim barbershop owners in a plastic bag discarded outside of their business.
