Editor’s note: The Epoch Times publishes here direct translations of statements made by Chinese people who renounced the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its subordinate organizations. Statements such as these are submitted to a website affiliate of the Chinese version of The Epoch Times, Dajiyuan. The movement to renounce, withdraw from, or quit the CCP, called “Tuidang“ in Chinese, began in late 2004, soon after The Epoch Times published the ”Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party,” an editorial series that explores the nature and history of the CCP. The statements offer a rare and candid glimpse of history in the making. Chinese people are turning their backs on the Communist Party, choosing conscience over convenience, and peacefully ushering in a future China, free of Party rule.

The following is a selection of edited “Tuidang” (quitting the Party) statements made by Chinese nationals on July 17.

Statement of Withdrawal from CCP’s Young Pioneers Team and Communist Youth League

We are businessmen. We started from scratch and have been working hard to earn every penny. However, our money is now extorted wantonly. We went to Europe to visit customers this year. We were very glad to hear about the “three withdrawal”. We have a bitter hatred for the CCP. We joined the Young Pioneer and Youth League years ago, we vowed to dedicate our lives to communism. Now we are decided to discard the vow and make a statement to withdraw from all the organizations of the CCP.

In China, if you don’t offer bribes to CCP officials, they will make trouble for you by all means to impose a fine. If you have some money and property, you'll become a target for the bad guys. For instance, a scoundrel once invented a false receipt for a loan saying that we owned him one million yuan. Since he bribed the court, the court even accepted his false IOU note without our signature on it and willfully froze our money in the bank. How dark it is! As the scoundrel came to our company to make trouble, we called the police, but they would do nothing about it unless we offer them bribes. We have to invite the police and their friends to dinner and hire prostitutes for them. One such expense is as big as ten thousand yuan.

Even so they wouldn’t handle the case in fair way. How corrupt they are! Nevertheless, this is not really serious compared with my friend’s misfortune. Her father started a shoe factory when he was only 14 and had been working hard to run it for over 40 years. Unfortunately the CCP officials wanted the land of his factory building and tried to requisition it. Since the price was not fair, her father refused. Subsequently, the CCP officials set fire to burn down the factory. An old worker who had been working for the factory all his life firmly resisted but was run over and killed under the wheel on the spot. Reporters were prevented from taking pictures. The messages the workers post on blogs were covered up.

A few years ago, we went abroad to attend an exhibition where we heard somebody criticizing the CCP, we spoke in defense of it. But our own experience in recent 2 years have made us see through its nature.

Statement of Withdrawal from all CCP Organizations.

I’m a veteran Party member. My former spouse was killed by red guards in the “Cultural Revolution.” My son and his wife ran a company until they were framed by base people—and the CCP’s court and police even aided and abetted the evildoers. In recent years I’ve seen the CCP become even more corrupt. Thus, I shout out from the heart, “I want to withdraw from the Communist Party.” Now that I’ve learned about the three withdrawals service on The Epoch Times website, I'd like to enter my name on the list too.

Statement of Three Withdrawals

We joined the Communist Party, the Youth League, and the Young Pioneers [the latter are communist mass organizations for young adults and children respectively]. Chinese society today has been destroyed by the CCP bandits, who have created turmoil. There’s no place for people to appeal against the numerous injustices they face. If you appeal to or petition higher authorities, you will be persecuted violently and brutally by the CCP. As we saw a lot of innocent people around us persecuted, we realized more clearly that the Party and its Youth League are evil. A Chinese person with a conscience should not join them.

So we now formally withdraw from Youth League; we want to be good people! Who could trust such a wicked Party anymore? We have seen through its evil nature, and won’t be afraid of it or believe in it. We want to totally break away from it. Only then will we have a way out and a better life to live. From today on, we announce that we withdraw from all communist organizations, and give ourselves a way out.

Withdraw from Chinese Communist Party, Communist Youth League and Young Pioneers

When I was in northeast China I was made to join CCP because of my excellent performance at work. When I was younger I was deceived to join CCP’s Youth League and Young Pioneers. Now I’ve got to know from Falun Gong practitioners the true nature of CCP—evil cult. I feel like I was awake from a dream. Now I announce that I willingly withdraw all CCP organizations and totally break off from the evil party.

Withdraw from CCP, to be free of fear and to be a man with integrity.

As an elderly intellectual with integrity, I have been persecuted by CCP which I cannot bear to recount. I don’t want to go down with the evil cult CCP. I want to withdraw from CCP so that I can be free of fear and embrace beautiful light.

Withdraw from Communist Youth League and Young Pioneers

I’ve been breaking through the firewall for so long and got to know enough. No need to say more!

Statement

I’m totally disillusioned about CCP, and for a long time don’t think I’m part of it. But I still want to solemnly declare that I withdraw from this evil CCP.

Withdraw from CCP’s Young Pioneers

Since I got to know the history of CCP, I’m enraged by its filth and brazenness. So I declare to withdraw from this party.

Statement of Withdrawal from Chinese Communist Party, its Youth League and Young Pioneers

All Chinese people know what the CCP is. Only with the disintegration of CCP’s corrupted system, can China truly rise. We agree and support the action of withdrawal from CCP. We are determined to withdraw from CCP and its affiliate organizations. Wish everyone and China a beautiful and bright future.
