“24: Live Another Day” is one of the more anticipated shows of this year, and spoilers and details about the cast and plot have been coming out.
The season is set for a premiere date March 5 release date (8 p.m. to 10 p.m.) before settling into a 9 p.m. weekly time slot.
Let’s check out what we know so far:
-Chloe and Jack (Kiefer Sutherland and Mary Lynn Rajskub both returning) are pitted against each other, Sutherland said at a press event. Chloe left CTU and turned herself against the government in the years since season 8 ended. Jack is still a fugitive who is being hunted by Kate Walker.
-“Jack is not quite Osama Bin Laden, but he is someone to be captured,” executive producer Manny Coto said. “And when Jack reenters the story on his own terms, we will learn he has a mission. But this CIA agent is determined to catch him, and as she gets closer and closer to him, Chloe O’Brien reenters the picture.”
-The new season is set and shot in London.
-Events during the show will still occur in “real time.”
– James Heller (played by William Devane) is now the leader of the free world — and his daughter Audrey (Kim Raver) has a role in the administration.
-Jack’s daughter (played by Elisha Cuthbert) could be back in a later part of the show.
-The 12-episode adventure could reboot the show, Sutherland said. And a feature film could still be made as well.
