NEW YORK—Kendale “Ace” Judge will serve a 6- to 18-year prison term for forcing a 13-year-old girl into prostitution.

Judge, 22, of Brooklyn, was sentenced Tuesday after pleading guilty to sex trafficking.

According to court documents, Judge met and gained the trust of the 13-year-old runaway in September 2011, before holding her captive and beating her. He then forced the girl into prostitution advertising her services on a website. She escaped and called 911.

“Domestic trafficking happens every single day in every borough in New York City,” said Sonia Ossorio, president of the local chapter of the National Organization for Women.

“This is a classic case, where you have an older male, who makes a career of finding young runaways who are in need of help and luring them in by offering them help and friendship and love. Then that quickly turns into intimidation, force, [and] violence. … These guys know exactly what they are doing,” Ossorio said.

Upon release from prison, Judge will be registered as a sex offender.

Shanique Davis, 21, aided Judge by helping keep the girl captive and photographing her, according to court documents.

Davis is expected to receive five years probation for Promoting Prostitution in the Third Degree. Her sentencing is Oct. 17.
