NEW YORK—A 2-year-old boy is clinging to life after he was struck by a car that jumped the curb in Brooklyn over the weekend.
Denim McLein and his mother, Wendy, were among 10 people injured Saturday evening in the East Flatbush section.
The boy’s aunt told the New York Post that Denim was likely brain-dead and his mother was in a semi-coma.
Wendy McLein owns a nightclub in Bedford-Stuyvesant called Denim’s Cafe.
Police said the driver told investigators that her brakes failed before she went through a red light and jumped the curb at Church and Utica avenue around 6:30 p.m.
The driver passed a breathalyzer test and was not charged.
