2 Teenagers Shot While Riding Bicycle in Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES—A 16-year-old boy and an 18-year-old woman were hospitalized in critical condition following a drive-by shooting in the Florence area of Los Angeles, authorities said April 24.

The shooting was reported about 10 p.m. April 23 at Central Avenue and 84th Street, according to a desk officer at the Los Angeles Police Department’s Operations Center.

The victims were riding a bicycle when they were approached by a male in a vehicle who fired shots at them, he said.

The shooting is believed to have been gang-related, the officer said.
