City of Odessa spokeswoman Andrea Goodson said the officers were being treated at a local hospital following the shootings Wednesday and were in stable condition. Goodson had no other immediate information about the victims.
Roads were blocked off in an Odessa neighborhood amid the ongoing standoff and residents were asked to stay away from the area. Authorities said the suspect had barricaded himself inside the apartment complex. Further details were not immediately available.
