Two earthquakes hit California’s Bay Area on Tuesday night, Dec. 26, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
A 3.9-magnitude quake hit at around 10:32 p.m. local time in Alum Rock, San Jose, and it had a depth of around 5.5 miles, according to the seismic agency.
The other quake, which registered 3.9 on the Richter scale, hit 5 miles from San Martin and had a depth of 7 miles, the USGS said.
There were no reports of damage or injuries.
Local man Dave Freund of Los Gatos felt “a quick, small jolt on Lexington Reservoir,” reported the San Jose Mercury News.
“A good shaker,” added local Sanjay Khandelwal of Los Gatos. “My daughter felt it as well. She sleeps in a bunk bed and felt it move.”
