Jessa Duggar and fiance Ben Seewald got married this weekend.
The two had their wedding rehearsal on Friday and the two tied the knot on Saturday, People magazine reported.
The two got married at the First Baptist Church in Bentonville, Arkansas, with family members looking on.
Duggar and Seewald exchanged their vows in front of a crowd of hundreds of people. Jinger Dugger was the maid of honor and Seewald’s best friend, Dylan McMahan, was the best man.
“Ben is a peacemaker and a gentle, kind man,” Michelle Duggar said. “I am grateful for the way the Lord brings two people together. We love Jessa so much and are so happy for her.”
McMahan described Seewald as a “man of integrity. I know he’s going to honor his wife and put her first.”
“Courting is getting to know each other in a group setting, both families spending time together and the couple setting goals together to determine if they are meant to marry,” Jim Bob Duggar, her father, told People. “With dating, a couple will often pair off alone and that sometimes leads to a more physical relationship.”
The two met while they were attending church.
Seewald is the oldest of seven children.
“I was the same age as Ben when I was going through the same thing,” his father, Michael Seewald, told the publication. “For me, it helped to mature me. A committed relationship does a lot to mature a young man. It does make them grow up a little bit. I can see that happening to Ben already.”
Meanwhile, during the week, Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard revealed the couple’s unborn baby boy.
“Although they did not make a big deal out of it, while announcing that they are having a baby boy you can clearly see three large framed sonogram photos behind them,” says Hollywood Life. “I personally find 3D sonograms to be pretty creepy, but the ones of Jill and Derick’s baby are absolutely precious! You can clearly see the little guy’s face, and how he is developing inside of Jill’s womb.”
