An article saying the Duggars’ 19 Kids and Counting on TLC has been canceled is fake.

It was posted on The National Report, a satire website.

The bunk report says, “TONTITOWN, Arkansas – TLC announced the abrupt cancellation of the reality-based series 19 Kids and Counting, after it was learned that Michelle Duggar allegedly gave birth to a mixed-race child, two years before her marriage to Jim Bob Duggar. The disclosure sent TLC programming executives scrambling to apply damage control, according to an unnamed source. The series has become one of the network’s most popular and profitable franchises since its debut in 2008, then named 17 Kids and Counting.”

The article then includes a fake quote from TLC.

The National Report doesn’t have a disclaimer, but another website saved it.

It used to say: “DISCLAIMER: National Report is a news and political satire web publication, which may or may not use real names, often in semi-real or mostly fictitious ways. All news articles contained within National Report are fiction, and presumably fake news. Any resemblance to the truth is purely coincidental . The views expressed by writers on this site are theirs alone and are not reflective of the fine journalistic and editorial integrity of National Report.”

The National Report has posted fake stories about TV. A few weeks ago, it said that Breaking Bad would return for another season, which wasn’t true.

As of Sunday night, the Duggars cancellation article had thousands of shares on Facebook.
