An 18-wheeler crash in Grand Prairie, Texas--where the truck fell through the Interstate 30 guardrail and onto the highway below--was captured on video.

Officials are still looking into the cause of the accident, reported WFAA-TV.

Surveillance footage shows the truck blow past the Interstate 30 guardrail and crash onto the President George Bush Turnpike.

The impact of the truck hitting the road caused a massive explosion and a fire, killing the driver.

Cars driving on the turnpike were able to slow down and avoid the wreck.

But video footage showed that at least one car narrowly missed the truck as it plunged onto the turnpike.

The driver of the truck was James Anthony Long of Clarksville, Tenn., reported KLTV. The truck was transporting ceramic tile.

Video footage shows some drivers getting out of their cars to try and assist the driver.
