A 14-year-old girl fell from Sky Ride at Six Flags Great Escape in the Lake George, New York, on Saturday, according to reports.

Loren Lent, a witness, said the slow-moving ride goes through the park. He noticed a young girl hanging from a chair by her head and arms, News10 reported.

Lent said he heard screaming at around 7:45 p.m. before noticing the teen hanging.

Bystanders then told the girl to wiggle loose after she said she was being choked by the bar on the chair.

After she dropped, she hit a tree branch and landed in the crowd. They were able to catch her.

The New York Daily News said she was taken to a nearby hospital and she is expected to survive without any serious injuries.

“You don’t know what to do I mean you know you understand that you know somebody falling from 35 feet in the air could cause damage to you or whoever you’re catching her with but it’s better off to suffer a minor injury to save someone from a serious injury and that’s what those guys ultimately did,” Lent told News10.

Lent managed to catch the whole thing on camera, posting a video to Facebook. In the video it looks like she fell about 15 or 20 feet into a crowd.

Six Flags officials at the Queensbury park said the ride is in working order and there is not “any malfunction,” the New York Daily News reported.

It’s unclear what caused the girl to fall.
