This fall, most 12-year-olds will be heading into 7th or 8th grade. But 12-year-old Tanishq Abraham will be going back to university with three degrees already tucked into his belt.
Abraham graduated from American River College in Sacramento, Calif., with three associates degrees last year, at the age of 11.
The 12-year-old has already been accepted to the University of California at Davis and Santa Cruz. This fall, he’ll complete his bachelor’s and study engineering, according to The Quint.

Abraham, a third-generation Indian-American who loves watching Bollywood movies, Indian soaps, and eating Indian food, said college hasn’t been a smooth ride.
“There were some students who were intimidated, and possibly jealous of me, but most of them were very supportive and nice,” Abraham told The Quint.
“Of course they were confused, wondering what I was doing in a college class, but they later became used to me and we became friends,” he added.
But the college degrees aren’t the sum of Abraham’s accomplishments.
When he graduated from high school last year, he got a letter from President Obama.
It said “Congratulations” and “you’re going to make a big difference!”
Abraham said being President of the United States is one of his dreams—and he would make a few changes to the education and healthcare systems.
The 12-year-old has also appeared as a speaker on TEDX, written articles on astronomy, and gave a talk at NASA at 9-years-old.
Abraham also appeared on Conan, where he showed he’s not just a super-smart kid, but also a funny one.
The young boy shared some science jokes with Conan O’Brien.
“Why can’t you trust atoms?” Abraham asked Conan.
“I don’t know,” said the host.
“Because they make up everything,” said the 12-year-old.
