$106,000 in parking fines was attached to a car that was abandoned at Chicago’s O'Hare International Airport for three years and now the owner, Jennifer Fitzgerald, will have to only pay a fraction of that back.

Fitzgerald’s ex-boyfriend, Brandon Preveau, allegedly took the keys to a 1999 Chevy Monte Carlo and ditched it at the airport three years ago. The car--registered to Fitzgerald--was ticketed 678 in that time period.

But Fitzgerald came to a deal with the city, and she will only have to pay $4,500 of the parking fines after Preveau gives her $1,600 for a down payment, reported the Chicago Tribune.

Fitzgerald told the paper that the car should have been towed a long time ago before it was removed by the city in 2012. It was parked at the airport in 2009 in an employee lot that she could not access.

City law department spokesman Roderick Drew told the Tribune: “Parties came together and worked out a reasonable resolution to this situation. By following the terms of the settlement, at the end of this three year period Ms. Fitzgerald will be able to resolve the debts.”

According to NPR, she will pay $78 per month for the fine.

Fitzgerald also can get her license back, which was taken away from her as her car was being ticketed, NBC Chicago reported.
