The new “100 Days of Summer” series, which chronicles the lives of a group of young and successful Chicago residents, has its premiere on January 7.

The trailer shows how intense the reality television series is going to get, with the cast sniping at each other, and potential relationships developing between some of them.

Episode one, “Ship-Faced,” is described by Bravo: “Things get tense when the gang goes out yachting to celebrate the start of Chicago’s summer.”

It airs at 10 pm. EDT.

The main characters are:

Pascale Wellin, who has recently launched a new jewelry line in Chicago after moving from Los Angeles

Jay Michael, a partner in a real estate development business

Phillips Demming, a former pageant queen who launched her own clothing line that specializes in matching fashions for dogs and humans

Vincent Anzalone, a partner in an event promotion and marketing company

Tara Clack, who works at a veterinary practice downtown

Ray Austin, a former NFL player who is now a businessman, model, and actor

Bravo further describes the cast and the show as:

“The series chronicles a group of young, successful and driven Chicagoans as they navigate the ups and downs of their personal, professional, and social lives in the Windy City over one intense summer season. Being hooked into Chi-Town’s hottest industries, these nightlife impresarios, fashionistas, real estate moguls and entrepreneurs include Vincent Anzalone, Ray Austin, Tara Clack, Phillips Demming, Jay Michael, and Pascale Wellin.

“They all work hard in business, play hard in life and attempt to navigate the sometimes murky waters that fall in between. Owing to Chicago’s long-lasting winters, these go-getters only have a scant 100 days to accomplish the lofty personal and professional goals they set for themselves. Some will succeed and some will fail, but they all will be changed forever.”
