In the name of charity and to raise money for ALS, celebrities and people of all walks of life took on the Ice Bucket Challenge. According to the association, ALS is Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, often referred to as “Lou Gehrig’s Disease,” which affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord.
