MILWAUKEE — Authorities say a freeway shooting near downtown Milwaukee has ended with one person injured and four people in custody.
The Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were called about a shooting on Interstate 43 just after 10 a.m. Wednesday. Authorities say more than a dozen shots were fired into a vehicle in an exchange of gunfire with another vehicle. One person was grazed by a bullet.
Investigators responded to four separate scenes were four vehicles may have been involved.
Authorities say the victim was driving a rental car and had stopped. Deputies recovered a weapon and arrested the driver and a male passenger.

Milwaukee police stopped a vehicle that had bullet damage and arrested two of the four occupants after a foot chase.
I-43 southbound reopened after being closed for about 2.5 hours while deputies searched for evidence.
