1 Dead and 1 Wounded in Brooklyn, New York Shooting: NYPD

NEW YORK—Police say a shooting in Brooklyn has left an 18-year-old man dead and a 17-year-old wounded.

It happened at about 2:45 p.m. Wednesday in Brownsville a block away from a school just as students were being let out for the day.

Officers responding to the scene near the intersection of Livonia and Pennsylvania avenues found the 18-year-old with a gunshot wound to the head.

The 17-year-old was hospitalized in stable condition with a gunshot wound to his arm.

Police say three people have been taken into custody and a weapon has been recovered.

The identities of the victims have not yet been released.
