TEL AVIV, Israel—Even after seeing videos and reading reviews about Shen Yun Performing Arts, audience members often feel the performance is full of surprises and quite difficult to describe until they have experienced it live. It was so for Haim Molho, CEO of a tech company, and Michal Molho, who works in tourism, who saw the performance on April 12.
“First of all, it was amazing. Truly amazing. Although I’ve seen some previews, it was still very surprising,” said Mr. Molho.

“Fascinating,” Mrs. Molho added. “Something different from what we’re used to here, simply amazing. Multi-sensory, captivating.”

New York-based Shen Yun is the world’s premier classical Chinese dance company and has since 2006 put on an all-new production each year.

“The music, the choreography, the landscapes ... I haven’t seen something like that,” Mr. Molho said. “It’s different, there are so many colors, so much energy, it’s quite moving. Suddenly something different, it’s amazing.”

Mrs. Molho said it was a unique experience as well.

We often hear about Chinese culture and dance, but until we actually came and experienced it, it wasn’t tangible enough for us. And it’s worth it, it’s a different experience,” she said.
The costumes were breathtaking, but there was always a combination of the scenery with the colors of the costumes, meaning it was a multi-sensory experience, combining music, scenery, and stunning visuals.”

The couple appreciated the unique orchestra that blended ancient Chinese instruments into the ensemble.

“We’ve heard the erhu in places like Tibet and northern Nepal, but it was truly amazing to hear it again, it’s emotional,” Mr. Molho said.

“There’s no doubt that they succeeded in bringing the combination with the orchestra to truly amazing places,” Mrs. Molho said. ”Extraordinary experience.”
