NEW YORK—Subway lines B, D, F, and M on the orange line will be closed for track and station work for four nights, starting Monday, July 23. The line will be closed from 59th St.–Columbus Circle to the West Fourth Street station, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.

The closure is part of the FASTRACK initiative introduced by the MTA last year. It allows employees to perform work unhindered by trains passing by.

Travel alternatives include the Eighth Avenue A, C, E stations that connect with D and F trains at Columbus Circle and West Fourth, and the Q for service to and from Lexington Av/63rd St., Roosevelt Island, and 21st St.–Queensbridge. Transfer between F and Q trains at 42nd St.–Port Authority/Times Sq.–nd42 St.
