Six-time American Le Mans Series class winning GT driver Olivier Beretta has joined forces with Scuderia Corse for the 51st Grand Am Rolex 24 at Daytona.
Beretta will be co-driving the No. 63 Scuderia Ferrari 458 with 2012 Ferrari Challenge World Champion Alessandro Balzan, Vallelunga Six Hours winner Alessandro Pier Guidi, and 2010 Open GT champ Marco Frezza.
In addition to his successes in ALMS, Beretta also has six class wins at the Le Mans 24, plus a second and two thirds.
“I am very happy to have Olivier back with us for Daytona” said team principal Giacomo Mattioli in a press statement. “His level of experience and success in endurance racing is unsurpassed and makes him a great addition to our team once again.
“Scuderia Corsa is made up of true competitors, and we plan to give the Daytona fans an exciting race.”
Scuderia Corsa entered the Rolex Sports car series late in the 2012 season, adding points to help Ferrari win the manufacturer’s title. The team is back for the 2013 Rolex 24 with a pair of Ferraris.
The second car, No. 64, is being run in conjunction with the Via Italia Racing Team, with drivers Francisco Longo, Daniel Serra, Xandinho Negrao, and former IndyCar driver Rafa Matos.
The 51st Grand Am Rolex 24 at Daytona starts at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, at Daytona International Speedway. Tickets for the event are available through the Grand Am website.
