NEW YORK—The top rankings of Zagat’s and Michelin’s top New York City’s restaurants are not so different from last year.

Zagat Rankings

According to Zagat, New York City’s best restaurant is still Le Bernardin (155 W. 51st St. , 212-554-1515). French chef Eric Ripert’s seafood restaurant was named best in the Big Apple five years in row.

Ripert is also opening a new restaurant called Aldo Sohm Wine Bar, one block from his restaurant, and a private dining room called Bernardin Privé.

It’s Le Bernardin’s 12th victory in Zagat’s top food category.

Bouley came in second, followed by Per Se as third.

Other categories include: top décor, top service, most popular, top French, top Italian, and top Chinese.

The Zagat survey covered 2,048 restaurants, which 48,114 diners voted on.

Michelin Rankings

In Michelin’s 2014 guide, the seven restaurants that earned three stars last year came out on top again.

The three-star restaurants include Chef’s Table at Brooklyn Fare, Daniel, Eleven Madison Park, Jean-Georges, Le Bernardin, Masa, and Per Se.

There are only 100 restaurants in the world who have the three-star ranking awarded by Michelin, considered one of the most prestigious rankings for restaurants.

In addition, nine restaurants earned their first star this year: Aska, Babbo, Carbone, Caviar Russe, Ichimura, Le Restaurant, Lincoln, The Musket Room, and Telepan.
