A couple got lucky when the northern lights made an appearance on their big day, resulting in some of the “best ever” wedding photos.
Chris Oman and Rebecca MacDonald tied the knot at Bogbain Farm, Scotland, as photographer Michael Carver snapped pictures of them.
When Mr. Carver was packing up, his partner texted him asking him to look at the skies as the northern lights made their appearance.
Upon being presented with this opportunity, Mr. Carver asked a guest to look for the bride and groom, as he set up his camera.
“I could see the skies flaring up and was even able to see the bright colors with my eyes,” he said. “We had found Chris but Rebecca was no place to be found.”
Eventually, someone dragged Ms. MacDonald from the dance floor.
“I heard people shouting for me and saying the Northern Lights were out,” Ms. MacDonald said. “Michael got Chris and me in the perfect position.”
Mr. Carver had only a few seconds to take a picture as the Northern lights pulsed brightly.
“It was just an unexpected but amazing way to celebrate our wedding!” Ms. MacDonald said. “We both feel so lucky to have seen such a spectacle and have Michael capture it so beautifully.”
