SÃO PAULO, Brazil—An IT expert who heads both Europe’s and Latin America’s largest community of digital leaders said watching Shen Yun was both an educational and spiritual experience.
“The dance, it awakens the inside, our inner self.
“This touched me on the spiritual side ... of the importance that the dance has in the influence of our mind.”
Mr. Cordenonsi, who holds an impressive list of credentials in the IT sector, such as board member for CIONET—the largest community of Digital Leaders in Europe and Latin America—and Chief Information Officer for GRSA, a company from London based Compass group, and was the recipient of the 2023 Hispanic Technology Executive Council (HITEC) award, said he was particularly impressed with the dancers’ ability to portray the different dynasties from ancient China.
Shen Yun dancers are trained in classical Chinese dance, which is unique in that it utilizes physical expression and postures, leaps, flips, spins and other difficult tumbling techniques, and has therefore formed an independent, extensive and independent dance system, according to the company website.
“I have a desire to see this performance [again], [so as] to be able to [have] bigger reflections on life,” he said. “Reflection on life—about the importance of being here—of being happy.
“It was a very good performance.”
