Poppy, the world’s oldest cat, died at the age of 24.

Born in 1990, Western Daily Press points out that the tortoiseshell lived to see five British prime ministers and four U.S. presidents. Poppy even got recognition from late night show host Seth Meyers.

Though Poppy was included in the Guinness World Records last month and was the oldest cat alive, the oldest cat in history was actually a feline named ‘Creme Puff’ who lived for 38 years and 3 days.

BBC did a story on Poppy right after she celebrated her 24th birthday. According to the story, the first two years of a cats life are equal to 25 years for a human. After that, every three months for a cat is equivalent to a year for humans. In total, this would make Poppy 114 years old as a human.

Metro reports Poppy’s owner Jackie West was devastated at the loss of her pet. She was laid to rest in a garden next to other lost and beloved pets.
