PERTH, Australia—World acclaimed Shen Yun Performing Arts International Company arrived in Perth to a rare rainy reception on Monday for the final leg of its successful Australian tour.
Despite the weather, Perth audiences are sure to feel warm at heart when through the universal languages of music and dance, the New York-based Shen Yun brings 5,000 years of Chinese civilization to life.
As the first time to Western Australia, Shen Yun is gearing up for six big performances in Perth—the world’s most isolated city.
Shen Yun has been welcomed to Perth by state officials sending greetings to welcome such a unique company to Perth.
Senator Alan Eggleston said, “I am pleased to provide my sincere greetings to everyone attending this evenings performance by Shen Yun 2014.
“I have heard great things about the Shen Yun performance of classical dance and music, and commend everyone involved in making tonight’s performance possible.

Since arriving in Perth, Shen Yun performers have been making the most of the city surrounded by pristine beaches, and beautiful native flora and fauna in a few days of leisure before the performances begin, they have enjoyed a game of volleyball in the sun at Cottesloe beach, viewed the wildflowers of Kings Park from the tree-top walk and toured the city sights.
This season Shen Yun has performed in Melbourne, Canberra, Sydney, Adelaide and the Gold Coast, in Australia, as well as in Wellington and Auckland, in New Zealand.
Six performances are booked for The Regal Theatre in Subiaco, which will end the company’s Australian tour before the company flies to Hawaii to complete its 2014 World Tour.
